UNESCO Project Schools at the Memorial.
The Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial also provides further support for schools and educational institutions in analysing the SED Party dictatorship by:
Providing teaching and specialist materials on the history of dictatorship
Establishing contact with eyewitness to give lectures on political persecution under the SED Party dictatorship
Carrying out specialist conferences and further training events
Supporting trainee teachers
Advising qualifying teachers on the choice of topics for their final exam
Providing seminar-style courses for the German "Abitur" exams (5th exam component)
Providing a special form of exam for the students taking their intermediate high school certificate
Offering a range of projects for pupils studying German, philosophy, psychology, geography, art or music. |
