Changing the guard in the Kremlin - the political cultur of Russia after the presidential elections

On the 7th March the Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial shows the documentary "Der Fall Chodorkowski" by Cyril Tuschi on the occasion of the presidential elections in Russia. In addition, experts on Russia and human rights activists discuss the political situation in the biggest country in the world. The event takes place in the Deutsche Kinemathek (Potsdamer Str. 2).

On the 4th March Russia elects a new president - who probably will be the old one. After a short intermezzo with Dmitri Medwedew Vladimir Putin will become the president of Russia again. But opposition is perceptible within the population. Does Russia wake up?
Three days after the presidential elections experts try to classify the results of the election and discuss the political future of Russia. After that the documentary "Der Fall Chdorkowski" by Cyril Tuschi is shown - a film that gives a unique insight of the "system Putin".
