Photo Exhibition on Former Inmates and Current Tour Guides
The Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial at the former main Ministry of State Security (MfS) remand prison has a permanent exhibition on eyewitnesses of events there. Today, ex-inmates work as tour guides in the Memorial, explaining to visitors the GDR's policy of political persecution, the constant surveillance, and the prison conditions, and relating their own experience with the Ministry of State Security (MfS). |
